Amanda + Dan on Bride’s Cafe…. Twice!!!

Posted on February 28th, 2008 by Marie Labbancz. Filed in As seen in...

How exciting! Floral designer Janie Medley of The Bride’s Cafe has a 2 part feature of one of my “FAV” weddings on her gorgeous blog today!!! The wedding of Amanda and Dan at Bartram’s Gardens in Philadelphia was featured in the Summer 2007 issue of Elegant Bride Magazine. The beautiful floral creations were all designed by Donna O’Brien of Beautiful Blooms in Philadelphia. It’s always a treat to work with Donna as there is always tons of “eye candy” for me to photograph. Check out Amanda and Dan’s Wedding Part 1 and Amanda and Dan’s Wedding Part 2

A Passion for Fashion

Posted on February 20th, 2008 by Marie Labbancz. Filed in Fashionista

From time to time I enjoy doing testing for models. It’s very creative and gives me a chance to “stretch” my artistic skills. This past week I did a test shoot for Janie of NYC. She’s signed with Ikon Models in NYC and wanted to do a little updating of her portfolio. Claudia Seyler did all the hair and makeup. Claudia’s talent never ceases to amaze me. In a matter of minutes she is able to create totally different looks of makeup and hair. I’m still working on the many images from the day long shoot but I’d thought I’d share a few with you. It’s very different from all my weddings (which will be starting soon)!

Pretty Inspiration

From time to time I do a few editorial shoots for magazines. They are always so much fun and very creative. Last week I did a tabletop shoot for The Bride and Bloom Magazine with florist Donna O’Brien of Beautiful Blooms and event stylist Kendall Brown of Eclatante Event Design They are such an amazing team! I shot three different tabletops all very different. Here are a couple of inspiration boards of their work. Great work Donna and Kendall. beautifulblooms1.jpg

The Squirrels of Princeton are NOT Green!

Posted on February 1st, 2008 by Marie Labbancz. Filed in On the side...

OK, so winter is a little slow for weddings but I’m trying to get into the habit of of posting to my blog weekly. I’m so excited about my new blog and want to start off with good habits. Starting in March I’ll have tons of great new weddings to share with you all. In February I have two really great commercial shoots that I will have to share with you. One for a top floral and event designer and a beauty shoot for a top makeup artist. Can’t wait!! Today I thought I would share with you a little humorous image of a Princeton squirrel. Princeton is infamous for their squirrels. They are everywhere, grey and black, very friendly and have even been know to invade student dorms. Last November I was photographing a couples wedding portrait on the University campus and this Ivy squirrel walked by us carrying his winter stash in a plastic cup!!!!! I guess he didn’t know plastics was not great for the environment….. or maybe he was recycling!

Marie, What a great shot for a recycling campaign. I work with several committees in Mount Olive (environmental commission and solid waste advisory). I was on your site to review some of the work you did at my daughter’s wedding, Michelle and Ben Carroll.
