The Bride’s Cafe - Vote for Veils

Posted on February 27th, 2009 by Marie Labbancz. Filed in As seen in...

How wonderful to wake up this morning and find my work featured on one the top wedding blog sites. Please check out my good friend Janie Medleys beautiful blog “The Brides Cafe” for some daily wedding inspiration. I don’t know how she does it daily! Like myself, Janie has just done a total remodel of her blog recently and I can truly appreciate the work involved. The new site is amazing! I’m always honored to be featured on her site. She features the work of what I consider the top wedding photographers of our day, so it’s always a pleasure for the eyes. Today she is having a vote for your favorite wedding veil/headpiece. So go on, cast your vote!

As seen in “Style Me Pretty”

Posted on February 25th, 2009 by Marie Labbancz. Filed in As seen in...

When checking my blog stats I noticed that one of my amazing weddings of 2008 was featured this week on the beautiful wedding blog “Style Me Pretty” and they said some very kind words about my photography. It was the very creative wedding of Roseann and Paal that took place at the FUEL House in Philadelphia. Eclatante and Beautiful Blooms of Philadelphia were the highly creative design team for this beauty. You can check out Part One and Part Two on Style Me Pretty.

Birth Announcement - The NEW Artoflove

Posted on February 24th, 2009 by Marie Labbancz. Filed in As seen in..., Weddings

It’s been 10 years in the making, but it’s finally arrived…. my brand new web site ARTOFLOVE. I have had the same html website since I began Marie Labbancz Photography back in 1999. My couples all told me how much they loved the old site so I was very hesitant to change it. It’s been very hard letting go, but I really think I needed a site that could display my images in a larger size and faster load time. I have not been blogging as much of late because I’ve been buried under the immense amount of work that went into this site. It’s now complete and I almost feel as if I given birth. I’ve put up 30 wedding to share. I really did not want a “best of” portfolio site, but rather I wanted to share a lot of real weddings to show how beautiful and unique each wedding is to me. During my shooting season I will be updating my galleries with additional weddings. I would love to have some feedback from you all. I’m still in the process of doing some little modifications. Please, please, please…. tell me what you think. This is a big deal to me, as I’ve never changed my site before. A special thanks to all my wonderful and creative couples that have given me such beautiful and emotional weddings to photograph!

Bridal Fashion (Part 2)

Posted on February 22nd, 2009 by Marie Labbancz. Filed in Fashionista

What fun I had several weeks ago in New York photographing the latest in bridal headpieces and veils. One again I was very fortunate to photograph some of the newest creations of milliner, Holly Slayton of Artikal. Hollys headpieces can be purchased directly through her and they are also available through Kleinfelds in New York. The beautiful gowns were provided by Suky Occasions of Philadelphia. What fun we had with models Olivia and Olga! Hair and makeup for the shoot was provided by the always amazing Claudia Seyler. Claudia’s talent never ceases to amaze me. She just creates look after look for me to photograph. Stay tuned for some bathing suit and lingerie shots from this session in a week or so.

Bridal Fashion - Part 1

Well, did I have fun a couple of weeks ago doing a bridal fashion shoot in NYC for Suky Occasions. Along with the ever so talented makeup and hair stylist Claudia Seyler we had a full day of styling the most beautiful bridal editorial images. I have so many amazing images from this shoot that I can’t wait to share with you. I’m only half way through working on the images. Here are a few with our beautiful model Olga in a stunning Monique Lhuillier Gown.

Mamma Mia – It’s a Winner!

I’m so sorry I have not been posting as frequently but I am so busy working on those amazing projects I told you about. I should start posting again real soon. I though I’d share with you another winner! This past January I won the Philadelphia Magazine Photo Contest (for the 4th month in a row)!!! I won first place in the photographers’ choice. The past 3 months I took 1st place for portraits. I LOVE this “Mamma Mia” picture from the Alyssa and James wedding and am so thrilled she won!

Things to come!

Posted on February 4th, 2009 by Marie Labbancz. Filed in My So-Called Life

As some of my loyal following might have noticed, I have not been posting as zealously as during my “wedding season”. I have been commissioned to photograph some truly amazing weddings in my 2009 season but they won’t be starting until spring. Being the workaholic that I am I have been very busy with “projects” so don’t worry I’ll have some very special postings in store for everyone. My BIGGEST project is a brand new web site. Yes, people truly love my current site but 2009 marks my 10th year as a wedding photographer and I have had the same site all these years. I figure it’s time for a change. I’ve put it off for so long because I never found a design that inspired me but now I’m inspired. I promise you the new site is going to be truly amazing and will highlight everything from my wedding imagery to my albums. Working day and night for the next month my site should be making its big debut by March 1st. Other projects are some fantastic fashion shoots. You know my passion for fashion!! And let’s not forget my images from London and Paris. Zac and I plan to work on the images over the winter and print up a coffee table book. I need to really finish those images before we set off on the second leg of our “grand tour” this summer to Italy, and Brussels! During my winter hibernation, I’d also like to know if there is anything you would like me to talk about in my blog. Maybe I can hit on a few interesting topics. Anyway, please stay with me even if I post less frequently. There are many great things to come.

I totally Agree with neLz! ;) Also would you ever be willing to do workshops or one on ones? Because that would pretty much be awesome and I would totally be there!

:) I would love if you threw some tips here & there for the photographers in your audience (such as myself). hehe xox. Can’t wait to see the new site!

Stephanie + Frank in New Jersey Bride Magazine

Posted on February 2nd, 2009 by Marie Labbancz. Filed in As seen in...

Congratulations to Stephanie and Frank on the beautiful feature article of their Bonnet Island Estate wedding in the current issue of New Jersey Bride Magazine. Magazines are always looking for picture perfect details and Michelle at MDS Floral Designs certainly provided that. It’s always a pleasure to photograph at Bonnet Island Estates and I get most of my Bonnet weddings featured because it’s so darn charming!.
