Lauren and Mourad 07.23.09
I’m trying to be a little brief with my postings as I’m trying to fit everything in before I depart next week for my adventure in Italy. I think I will revisit some of my beautiful wedding during the winter season when I have more time. Lauren and Mourad had a most romantic story as they met and fell in love in Paris, the city of love. I tried to convince her to get married in Paris (sheepish grin), but the couple wanted to share their special day with all their family and friends in the states! They could not of chosen a more special place for their transatlantic love than Liberty House in Jersey City, NJ. It is located in Liberty State Park which has the most spectacular views of New York Harbor and the New York City skyline. Mourad especially loved the views of the State of Liberty. Lauren work a stunning Lazaro gown and Mourad wore personalized “wedding sneakers” and cuff links of the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty. Even though a July tropical storm dampened their day it did not dampen the beauty of their images in the park. The couples beautiful cake was made by Carlo’s City Hall Bake Shop in Hoboken, New Jersey. Many of you may know him as the Cake Boss. Because Liberty House has a wonderful balcony Lauren and Mourad wanted a picture of all their guests. How fun is that. I will definitely be revisiting this wedding later in the year as it had one of the most playful wedding parties I’ve ever seen!

Julie + John 07.19.09 (Part 2)
I heard some brides on the blogs say they don’t like “under the veil” pictures because it’s been done too much. Though I don’t do it with every couple at every wedding sometime the couple, the veil and the light is just right. How could not love the ethereal feel of the veil image. Even though it’s been done before, it’s never been done with Julie and John. They seemed to enjoy the moment alone.

My second photographer Jill took this amazing image of the brides nephew. I keep telling her she is destined to be a childrens photographer.

Julie + John 07.19.09 (Part 1)
This was my first time photographing a wedding at Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone, NJ. It was a most beautiful location. From the sun filled winding staircase to the huge bridal suite for preparations. I just loved Julies Melissa Sweet gown. The beautiful silk flowers were so charming and a perfect style for Julie. John and Julie were married at Saint Andrews Greek Orthodox Church in Randolph, NJ. It was just so beautiful with all the gold icons. I’ll post some couple pictures and their big fat Greek wedding reception later this week. OOPA!

Diana + Noah
I had a fun time last week walking around the Society Hill area of Philadelphia with Diana and Noah. What a charming part of time and we even found a playground with double slides. Diana had her heart set on a Philadelphia mural. I did not realize there there were no murals in that part of town. We drove around and finally found one. Very fall looking, don’t you think? I’m looking forward to photographing Diana and Noahs wedding next spring at The Audubon Center in Audubon, PA.

A Very Handsome Gentleman!
Everyone knows how much I adore photographing the beautiful details of weddings, especially all the lush flowers. Donna O’Brien of Beautiful Blooms and I were brainstorming one night about developing our own line of floral greeting cards for her new Beautiful Blooms Boutique in Philadelphia. Because we both love a challenge, we decided to start with some florals on her beautiful Bernese Mountain dog TJ. Many days TJ is in her boutique to lovingly great visitors. Everyone just loves him, including myself. Here are a few of my favorite pictures. We hope that these cards will really take off so that we can start donating a percentage of the money made to PAWS. Also, if you are ever in the location of Northern Liberties in Philadelphia, check out Donna European style flower shop. It has everything from lavender, soaps, vases ad of course, flowers!

Lauren + Alessio 06.28.09 (Part 2)
When I first met Lauren she was a wedding planner. Though she has moved on to a new career, she brought all her talents for beautiful décor to her wedding reception at the Rockleigh Country Club. She had a color theme of orange and green which she incorporated beautifully from flowers to cakes. Laurelwood Designs did a beautiful job with the floral décor. I especially liked her seating card table. Lauren surprised Alessio with a very unique grooms cake by Le Petit Gâteau. Alessio LOVES pizza and likes to order one almost every day. Lauren surprised him with a cake in the shape of a pizza box. Very CUTE! To end the evening, Alessio broke out his trumpet and serenaded his bride.

One of my favorite wedding gifts ever….. Laurens mother hired an artist to paint a beautiful oil painting of her reception. A work of art that I think the couple will treasure forever!

Lauren + Alessio 06.28.09 (Part 1)
Over a year ago Lauren went on an extended vacation to visit relatives in beautiful Sicily. While on her stay she met the wonderful Alessio and it has be love ever since. I’ll be in Sicily next month on “Part 2 of my Grand Tour” and hope to get as lucky as Lauren! Many of their relatives from Sicily came to New Jersey to share in their most beautiful wedding day. Lauren had the most magnificent Pnina Tornai gown that she found at Kleinfeld Bridal in NYC. It fit her like a glove and she was just glowing! Their ceremony was held at Saint Michael the Archangel, a very historic church in Patterson, NJ. The ceremony was held in both Italian and English for all the guests to enjoy. The couple went on to the Rockleigh Country Club for their reception. Check back for some amazing inspirations from their reception!

Jessica + Vito featured in Philadelphia Wedding
Congratulations to Jessica and Vito on the beautiful feature article of their wedding in the current issue of Philadelphia Wedding Magazine. I know their unique and artistic day was the talk of many brides and blogs last year so I was thrilled to learn it was going to be a featured wedding. It was wonderful to work with such a very talented team. Jessica and her mother Susan were the creative powerhouse behind the day and with the assistance of Sheila Corbett of Elegant Events and the amazing hair and makeup of Claudia Seyler they created this memorable day.

Jamie + Arnold 06.13.09 (Part 4)
Check out this magnificent reception. It was total New York City grandeur! The ballroom at Capitale just glowed with remarkable lighting by BML Blackbird. They certainly knew how to theatrically light a venue. The décor was by Flowers By Reuven and as you can see it was striking. There was a mixture of round, square and long tables with different décor for each. Jamie and Arnold danced the night away to the music of Starlight Orchestras. What a great band with top of the line singers. I love great bands! I never worked with them before but hope to again!

Jamie + Arnold 06.13.09 (Part 3)
Capitale is such a striking location for a wedding. A former bank, it’s grand beautifully light rotunda is such a beautiful backdrop. Flowers By Reuven did a striking chuppah for the ceremony. Wait until you see the reception décor and lighting.

Marie, I look at these pictures every day and love them more with each look. Thank you again! Hope ou are well.
