Adesuwa + Joel 10.17.09 Part 1
Adesuwa and Joel are both from different countries in Africa, but it took coming to America to find each other. I was so happy to be photographing a wedding at Bartram’s Gardens in Philadelphia again. It is definitely one of my favorite historic gardens, and a perfect setting for an outdoor wedding. Unfortunately it rained on their wedding day, but as you can see the beautiful of the location and the love and enthusiasm of the couple totally shined through!

The brides little sister. She just loved getting “all dressed up”!

I loved the invitations by Nicole Miller of Two Paper Dolls.

Beautiful Blooms did a most beautiful job with all the bouquets.

Brides Magazine/WPJA Winning Image
I was very honored to be chosen by Brides Magazine as a first place winner in their 2009 Wedding Photojournalist contest. Images are selected from hundreds wedding photojournalists from around the world so it’s quite an honor. My image placed first in their CULTURE/CUSTOMS category. The image was taken at Uma and Jacks beautiful Morristown, NJ wedding back in August of 2008. It can be seen in the current issue of Brides Magazine. Congratulations to Uma for being featured!

Marissa + Justin 10-11-09 Part 2
Marissa told me that she and her mother had been working on all the special details her wedding for over a year. You could see the personal touches everywhere; the fall pear place cards, the bridal down doll to hold all the gift cards. The Rockleigh Country Club was transformed by Brian of The Flower Shoppe in New City, NY. It shows how lighting can totally transform the mood. Beautiful job everyone!

Marissa + Justin 10.11.09 Part 1
This must have been the weekend for brides with bling! Marissa had a dazzling crystal covered Pnina Tornai gown from Kleinfeld Bridal New York. She even have a veil covered with crystals! The couple were married at the historic Saint Anns Church in Nyack NY. Check out the marvelous flowers adorning the aisle. This is just a taste of things to come. Wait until you see the reception. YIKES! That will have to wait until Monday. Marissa and Justin had a balloon release after their ceremony. Very cute!

Jennifer + Benjamin 10.10.09 Part 3
This was my first time photographing a wedding ceremony at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. As you can see, with the setting sun it was just a perfect setting for their vows. The reception was oh so “pretty in pink”. They had their names projected in one wall in the same font used in their invitations all created by Two Paper Dolls.

Jennifer + Benjamin 10.10.09 Part 2
It was one of those perfect fall days in the Northeast. Crisp, but not yet too cold! Jen and Ben went with their bridal party around old city Philadelphia. We found a perfect colonial garden with fall flowers in bloom. Check back tomorrow for their spectacular wedding at the Constitution Center.

Jennifer + Benjamin 10.10.09 Part 1
Well, I started out with a beautiful pair of Christian Louboutin shoes. YEAH! Jennifer is obviously a believer that you can’t have too much of a good thing. The Kenneth Pool gown lying on the bed is actually her SECOND gown. She found it at The Bridal Garden and had to have it for dancing the night away at her reception. Her “wedding” gown was a stunning Lazaro which she purchased at Kleinfeld Bridal New York. Either one made a perfect wedding gown. What a lucky bride! I simply loved her stationary by Two Paper Dolls. Jen and Ben carried their pink carnival theme throughout their wedding day. More to come….

Bridal Fashion at Winterthur
The Winterthur Estate in Wilmington, DE is such a magical location. The mature gardens and woods not to mention the gorgeous architecture. I had a wonderful time last week photographing some gowns for Gabriella New York Bridal Salon. What an amazing selection of gowns she has! You all know what a gown addict I am. The two long gowns are by designer Matthew Christopher. What a talent! I just went wild over the feathery wonder. The adorable short wedding dress was designed by the always fabulous Angel Sanchez. WOW!!!!! What a perfect wedding dress for a trend setting bride or wouldn’t it make a perfect second dress for dancing the night away at the reception. The hair and makeup was so perfectly styled by Claudia Seyler. I LOVED the pearls wrapped in the models long hair. While at Winterthur I was also photographing a “Color Story” for Eclatante Event Design and Beautiful Blooms. I can’t wait to share the amazing decor with you also, but we all must wait until they share it with us on their blogs.

Shazia + Ryan 09.26.09
Autumn has definitely arrived when I see all the beautiful warm colors in flowers and decor. Shazia and Ryans fall wedding was held at the historic Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, PA. The grounds and architecture was just stunning and Ryan even found time to help Shazia with her golf swing! The beautiful flowers were by Robertson’s Florist of Philadelphia. Their dance lessons really paid off when Ryan executed a perfect dip!

Princess Diana’s Wedding Gown Comes to Philadelphia
What a wonderful opportunity I had last week. Editor Sarah Lockard of Around Mainline asked me to drop by the Constitution Center in Philadelphia to photograph Princess Diana’s wedding gown. This is a MUST SEE for all you “fashionistas” out there, as it not only features her iconic gown but some of her suits and evening gowns. “Diana: A Celebration” will be at the Constitution Center until December.

Beautiful Marie! Beautiful. I love the pictures and the way you put them together to tell a story. Keep up the good work!
