About Marie

My name is Marie Labbancz and I’m a fine art wedding photographer. At this time in my lifes journey, wedding photography is my life, my work and my passion. I do 40+ weddings each year and put so much time into each wedding and each image that I really don’t have much time for many other artistic pursuits. Presently I don’t do portraits, commercial photography or training seminars for photographers, I only do weddings. Afflicted early in life with “hopeless romanticism”, I stumbled upon wedding photography as a perfect match for my aesthetic eye and amorous yearnings. What a perfect day and I just love being part of each and every wedding I’m lucky enough to document.

For 18 years I worked as a certified social worker. I love people and connecting with people in goods times and bad. This is what inspired me to do Social Work. To express my artistic side, I did theater for many years also. Actress, director, singer, I loved it all. I loved the passion and the expression of the human experience that theater gave me. I believe all the things I am are all the things I have been and these are the things that mold my work as a wedding photographer. I am so grateful to all the couples that see something and relate to things in my work.

I live in the area of Princeton, NJ so I can be near my only son Mark and his family. My daughter-in-law Jill works for me as an associate photographer and office administrator. I’m so greatful to her for all the passion she put into my business. Best of all, I live very near my beautiful grandson Zachary! We are definitely kindred spirits and love exploring this world together.
