Lavender and Claire Pettibone
While shopping at friend Donna O’Brien’s Beautiful Blooms Boutique last year I had a vision! She carries a line of locally grown lavender from a farm near Doylestown, PA. I wanted to do an ethereal bohemian fashion shoot in the lavender field at sunset. With a little help from my friends my vision came true. The shoot took place at the gorgeous Carousel Lavender Farms. Even Martha Stewart Magazine did a soot there, so I’m in good company! Nicole Bridal of Jenkintown, PA provided the beautiful Claire Pettibone gowns. I knew a bohemian theme could only be Claire Pettibone and Nicole Bridal is the only salon to carry the line in PA or NJ, lucky me. Claudia Seyler did such a perfect job capturing that “boho” look. It was everything I envisioned. Finishing off the team was Beautiful Blooms. I will have a series of stunning bouquets, lavender and otherwise, perfect for a Midsummer Night’s Dream wedding. There is so much more to this shoot, including flower girl inspirations. I will be sharing more throughout the year!

Evening at Andalusia
It’s been awhile since I’ve had the time for an editorial shoot and goodness was I ready to have my creative energy sparked. What a great team we had assembled for this shoot at the beautiful Delaware riverfront estate Andalusia. The inspiration for this particular set of bridal fashion images came from Brian Toner of Eventions Productions. He had a vision of lighting the beautiful rustic wall at Andalusia at night. WOW! I think these images look like they could be from a W Magazine feature! Well, it does take a dream team to make a perfect shoot possible and to round out our team was Claudia Seyler who did the amazing hair and makeup and Beka Rendell and Kimberly Kink of Innove Events who did the fashion styling. I have more to share from this amazing shoot in future posts!

Bridal Fashion at Winterthur
The Winterthur Estate in Wilmington, DE is such a magical location. The mature gardens and woods not to mention the gorgeous architecture. I had a wonderful time last week photographing some gowns for Gabriella New York Bridal Salon. What an amazing selection of gowns she has! You all know what a gown addict I am. The two long gowns are by designer Matthew Christopher. What a talent! I just went wild over the feathery wonder. The adorable short wedding dress was designed by the always fabulous Angel Sanchez. WOW!!!!! What a perfect wedding dress for a trend setting bride or wouldn’t it make a perfect second dress for dancing the night away at the reception. The hair and makeup was so perfectly styled by Claudia Seyler. I LOVED the pearls wrapped in the models long hair. While at Winterthur I was also photographing a “Color Story” for Beautiful Blooms. I can’t wait to share the amazing decor with you also, but we all must wait until they share it with us on their blogs.

Princess Diana’s Wedding Gown Comes to Philadelphia
What a wonderful opportunity I had last week. Editor Sarah Lockard of Around Mainline asked me to drop by the Constitution Center in Philadelphia to photograph Princess Diana’s wedding gown. This is a MUST SEE for all you “fashionistas” out there, as it not only features her iconic gown but some of her suits and evening gowns. “Diana: A Celebration” will be at the Constitution Center until December.

Say Yes to the Dress
I was in aesthetic heaven at the 2009 Industry Showcase of the Philadelphia chapter of ISES. It’s the most amazing feast of event talent I’ve ever seen in one place. They had everything from event designers, florists, caterers, and even talking robots! I took so many images of the event it will take me a little while to edit them all. I should have some great images to share with you all next week. The true highlight of the evening for me was getting to meet the cast of one of my favorite reality shows “Say Yes to the Dress”! You all know what an extreme fashionista I am when it comes to wedding attire. I NEVER miss an episode (thank goodness for TIVO)! I’m just so addicted to this show. I often think if I ever changed careers it would be selling amazing gowns at Kleinfelds. Well, I’ve already been an actress, singer, social worker, therapist and wedding photographer! Who knows! Well anyway. I got to meet Mara, Randy and Nicole of Kleinfelds. They were just so gracious and every bit as sweet as they appear on the show. My friend Dave Williams of Dvideography shot this picture of me and Mara (the owner of Kelinfelds). Thanks Dave! Sorry about my scruffy hair. Sometimes I get that way when I’m photographing.

Bridal Fashion (Part 2)
What fun I had several weeks ago in New York photographing the latest in bridal headpieces and veils. One again I was very fortunate to photograph some of the newest creations of milliner, Holly Slayton of Artikal. Hollys headpieces can be purchased directly through her and they are also available through Kleinfelds in New York. The beautiful gowns were provided by Suky Occasions of Philadelphia. What fun we had with models Olivia and Olga! Hair and makeup for the shoot was provided by the always amazing Claudia Seyler. Claudia’s talent never ceases to amaze me. She just creates look after look for me to photograph. Stay tuned for some bathing suit and lingerie shots from this session in a week or so.

Bridal Fashion - Part 1
Well, did I have fun a couple of weeks ago doing a bridal fashion shoot in NYC for Suky Occasions. Along with the ever so talented makeup and hair stylist Claudia Seyler we had a full day of styling the most beautiful bridal editorial images. I have so many amazing images from this shoot that I can’t wait to share with you. I’m only half way through working on the images. Here are a few with our beautiful model Olga in a stunning Monique Lhuillier Gown.

What I do for love!
With my final wedding of 2008 behind me and my first of many amazing weddings for 2009 not starting until spring it’s a great time for me to jump into some creative editorial work. I love my editorial as I can play around with new creative photographic and post production techniques! It helps me grow as an artist! The Please Touch Museum located in Memorial Hall in Fairmount Park was the setting for this most inspired creation. What an amazing team she put together. The creative team at Beautiful Blooms did the most amazing flowers. The focus of the shoot was tabletop design but this time we added a model and gowns to the mix. Kendall will be sharing the images of the table décor ideas on her blog in the months to come, so make sure you check her out for wonderful ideas. Mary Helen Ranieri of Suky Occasions provided the most beautiful gowns and Claudia Seyler provided the hair and makeup for our model Oksana. I’d though I’d share with you some of the model images. I’m so excited as I have a bridal editorial shoot scheduled in NYC next week. Winter is fun!!!

I Need a New Model!
Well I finally finished working on all the images from the bridal shoot that I did early Spring (before my busy wedding season began). It was such fun working with the most creative Claudia Seyler. We make such a great editorial team. I love doing these these editorial shoots. I feel every time I grow so much as an artist and it makes my weddings all the better. Well, now that I’m finished working on the images, I feel I’m ready for another shoot. Anyone know any agency models, 5′9″+, size 0-4, and looking for some great bridal shots for their portfolio???? I’m ready! Here are some of the last few images from the shoot. I’m dreaming up ideas of what my next shoot will be.

Bridal Fashion - Part 2
I adore everything about weddings, but I must confess a particular “passion” for bridal fashion. I think some of my brides think I’m a little strange when I can rattle off the designer of brides that I photographed over 6 years ago. (A girl just remembers those things) Anyway, as some of you may remember, several months back I shared with you some images that I photographed of the beautiful bridal headgear of milliner, Holly Slayton of Artikal. (Then my outrageously busy wedding season began) It was a marvelous shoot with hair and makeup provided by Claudia Seyler who you all know I adore. The gorgeous gown for the shoot were provided by Jennifer’s Bridal in Hockessin, Delaware. What a fab selection she has. Thank you Jennifer! I finally had a few minutes free from my VERY busy schedule to work on a few more images to share with you. Editorial so creative and really helps me grow artistically for myself as an artist, and my couples. Enjoy!

LOVE everything about this set! Gorgeous model, gorgeous photos! Post processing is beautiful!
