One Atlantic Wedding Reception of Janine + Justin – 10.09.11

With some of Philadelphia’s top vendors at the helm, I knew it was going to be an evening to remember.  Beautiful Blooms did an amazing job with the flowers and decor and the room was just electric with the sounds of the fantastic band Jellyroll.  The adorable Ferris wheel cake was by The Cake Studio. As I blogged earlier, Dave Williams and his crew at CinemaCake did real amazing  job recreating a scene from the movie Goodfellas earlier in the day.  It was to be used for Janine and Justins grand entrance. It really was just a fun treat for their guests. I embedded a copy in this post. Enjoy!

Donna O'Brien - Ahhh Marie the photos are gorgeous! I would expect nothing less from you. Janine and Justin were such a lovely couple!

Under the Boardwalk with Janine + Justin – 10.09.11

As a lifelong “Jersey Girl” nothing is more romantic to me than a walk along the Jersey shore and a few stolen kisses “under the boardwalk”.  Though it was an October day it felt like summer as we strolled with Janine and Justin and their very fun bridal party. What would a wedding in Atlantic City be without a visit to the world famous Steel Pier. True kids at heart, the couple  enjoy some games on the boardwalk,  shared cotton candy and shared some romantic times under the boardwalk before their ceremony and reception at the beautiful One Atlantic

Donna O'Brien - Fantastic photos! I love everywhere you went with them and how amazing the images are that you have shown. Gorgeous!

Atlantic City Wedding of Janine + Justin – 10.09.11

What beautiful October day for a destination wedding, and Atlantic City was the destination! It was warm and sunny like a day in early June and there was no better place to be than the boardwalk in  Atlantic City.  Justin and Janine’s pretty invitation with a letterpress map of AC was  designed by Yes I Do! of Jersey City.  Janines hair and makeup was beautifully done by Bellezza salon at Caesars and her perfectly fitted Matthew Christopher Gown was from Castle Couture. There was so much bling Janine could not decide what pair of earrings to wear. The couple met ahead of time in the famous boardwalk of Atlantic City, right in front of one of my favorite shops It’Sugar! How sweet! Justin had a sweet treat waiting for her. They then began a very fun “mini movie” session with Dave Williams and his crew from Cinema Cake. I’m not going to spoil the surprise but they recreated a scene from a very famous movie to share with their guests. It was great fun watching the cinematographers at work! I’ll share it with you later this week!

A Thanksgiving Table

Last summer I had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful table setting for Beautiful Blooms Events at Barley Sheaf Farm in New Hope, PA.  A historic B&B, what a perfect location this would be for a summer nights wedding! The decor from this shoot always reminded me a bit of Thanksgiving so I thought I would share it with you now. It’s warm and antiquey and I think a bit turkey would look just perfect in the center. The beautiful table was adorned with real antiques such as the flatware and plates and mixed with some “new vintage” .  Two Paper Dolls did all the very vintage invitations and cards.  Rounding off the team,  makeup artist, Beke Beau made out beautiful (and handsome) models shine.  I hope my Thanksgiving table looks as yummy as this! Happy Thanksgiving all!L

Donna O'Brien - Thanks for capturing our photo shoot to perfection! What fun we all had that day!

Tammy - Marie, these are absolutely wonderful! Gave me some ideas! :)

Rittenhouse Hotel Wedding of Allyson + Steven – 10.08.11

Allyson and Steven returned to the Rittenhouse Hotel and shared a little kiss at The Boathouse Row Bar located in the hotel for a little alone time prior to their reception.  Their after-party was going to be held in this historic bar. Such fun. Nancy Saam Flowers did such a lovely job with the decor in the Grand ballroom at the Rittenhouse. The evening was a combination of romance and fun enhanced by the music of EBE dance band London.

Val McNichols - The photos are fab as always Marie. Nancy’s floral designs are absolutely amazing. Who would have thought gladiolus could be so stylish? Me!

Philadelphia Wedding Portraits of Allyson + Steven – 10.08.11

What a perfect October day in Philadelphia! Not too warm, not too cold and not too windy. Allyson and Steven allotted for time to go around the city in a trolly for pictures at some of their favorite  locations.  We started at The Second Bank of the United States in the Independence Mall area and ended up at beautiful Rittenhouse Square which was the location of their wedding reception at The Rittenhouse Hotel later that evening.  The loves the delicate bouquets designed my Nancy Saam Flowers. Right next door to the hotel is the Church of the Holy Trinity with it’s stunning red doors. I’ve had 3 couples in a row use the doors as a backdrop this fall.

Tammy - Love the red doors!

Saint Patricks Wedding of Allyson +Steven 10.08.11

I really like this image of Allyson having her makeup done while her beautiful Junko Yoshioka gown hung on the door of her suite of the Rittenhouse Hotel. Allyson and Steven were married at  Saint Patricks Church with it’s beautiful gold dome and only a short walk from the Rittenhouse hotel where their wedding reception was held.

Jerzy Modrak - Agreed! The first one is a great image. But I also liked the couple of kids walking up the aisle.
