Philadelphia Wedding Portraits of Nicole + Jung – 09.17.11

It seems that most of September my weddings were all in Center and old city Philadelphia, hence many of my formal portraits were all in many of the same locations. The Second Bank of the United States was a popular location along with Love Park.  Though the local may be the same, the unique style of each couple make the portraits different. The beautiful flowers and decor were by Nancy Saam Flowers.  Check back for her beautiful decor at the reception.

Philadelphia Wedding Preperations of Nicole + Jung – 09.17.11

I was excited to be photographing Jung and Nicole’s wedding at Le Méridien Hotel. It is one of Philadelphia’s newer hotels and I had heard such wonderful things about it. It is once the Philadelphia YMCA and Le Méridien transformed it into a beautiful hotel keeping all it’s historic features. The couple both prepared at the hotel and the groom even stopped by to have his hair done by Nicole’s hairstylist!  Very special to note, the brides sister designed the couples invitations.

99% – Visiting Occupy Wall Street

This time of year I sort of become a one trick wedding pony. It was  so great to finally have a Sunday off with my grandson Zac.  He and his friend wanted to visit Zuccotti Park in New York to see the supporters of Occupy Wall Street. Zac and Paul had such a great “teen” time. There were many “signs” for them to display and they got to see John Oliver of the Daily Show doing interviews and let’s not forget cat hat man!  A great time was had by all.

Downtown Club Wedding of Amy + Robert – 09.10.11

It was my first time photographing a wedding reception at the Downtown Club in the beautiful Society Hill section of Philadelphia! The stately venue was made ever more beautiful by the flowers and decor of  Robertson’s Flowers.  Amy did not have much time to rest her toes before dancing the night away with Robert to the tunes of The Heartbeats.

Tammy - Amazing photos Marie! So proud of you as always :)

Philadelphia Wedding Portraits of Amy + Robert – 09.10.11

Amy and Robert allowed a lot of time for wedding portraits all around Center City Philadelphia. We started in Old City Philadelphia and took a disco party bus all around many locations in Center City. We walked around so many locations that Amy’s feet got a little tired in those beautiful Badgley Mischka shoes. Robert carried her up the street so he could hail a cab for his wife! So sweet!

Jay Bryant - You actually did a jump shot??

Tammy - Beautiful photos Marie!

Amy + Robert’s Philadelphia Wedding Ceremony – 09.10.11

St. Peter’s Episcopal Church was the setting for Amy and Peters wedding ceremony. A most historic church, many of our founding fathers worshiped there including George Washington. It was my first time photographing a wedding there and I was just so impressed. The beautiful pure light streaming in from all the windows, and check out that organ.  Check out the streamers that were used after the ceremony.  They were so photogenic but I thought we were going to lose the couple in them. Check back for some beautiful Old City couple portraits.

Philadelphia Wedding of Amy + Robert – 09.10.11

A great wedding date, 9.10.11, how could you every forget.  This had to be one of the most requested wedding dates I’ve had for 2011 and I was fortunate enough to photograph Amy and Roberts beautiful day. The couple both prepared for their day at the Omni Hotel in historic Old City. The couple presented each other with romantic notes prior to their ceremony. Fashionista Amy definitely had fun shopping for her day with one of my favorite Lazaro gowns that she purchased and had perfectly fitted at  JaeHee Bridal Atelier.  She matched the gown with a pair of Badgley Mischka shoes.  Claudia Seyler did Amy’s beautiful chignon and Christina of Vanity & Mascara did her makeup. A picture perfect classic bride I can’t wait to share the rest of their wedding day!

Amy Fallone - Thank you so much Marie! Your images are STUNNING, as always! You captured so many of our tender, wonderful, exuberant moments so expertly.

Tammy - Wow Marie, these photos are stunning!

Engagement Portraits of Brittany + Michael

It’s always such fun photographing at the Grounds for Sculpture. After all these years I always find some new nook and cranny.  I was excited when Brittany and Michael chose this site for their engagement portraits.  I’ll be photographing their wedding at the beautiful Eagle Oaks Country Club next June.  Congratulations you two!

Jay Bryant - NIce images– you can’t miss with those row of trees at GFS.
