Melissa + Jeff’s Grounds for Sculpture Wedding Portraits – 06.02.12

One of the most artistic and magical places for wedding portraits in New Jersey is the Grounds for Sculpture. And lucky me, I had a picture perfect June day! You can do a portrait alongside a statue or just enjoy the lush greenery! Always perfect! It even has Monet’s bridge, which I got to see when I traveled to his home in Giverny, France. What I always marvel about is that the one at the Grounds for Sculpture is so much more grand. Check back for their reception at the always fabulous restaurant on the Grounds for Sculpture, Rats. I

Melissa + Jeff’s Ukrainian Orthodox Wedding – 06.02.12

Nothing is typical about a Ukrainian Orthodox wedding ceremony. Dad does not walk the bride down the aisle, but rather the couple meet in back of the church and walk down together. Rings are exchanged in the middle of the aisle prior to reaching the alter and after the ceremony the couple do not walk up the aisle but rather great all their guests at the alter. Melissa and Jeff were married at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity in Trenton, NJ. After the beautiful ceremony we were off to the Grounds for Sculpture, one of my favorite portrait locations in NJ.

Melissa + Jeff’s Wedding Preperations – 06.02.12

Melissa’s wedding bouquet certainly reminds me that Spring has arrived. How lovely is that wildflower bouquet by Wildflowers of Princeton. Melissa was such a stunningly classic bride that her wedding could have taken place in many decades. She actually wore her mother floral wreath veil from the 1970’s. Her Rosa Clara gown was customized with organdy sleeves giving it a very 1950’s sort of look. She and her mom even wanted me to recreate a photo of her looking down at her bouquet just like mom had. This is just the beginning of a most wonderful wedding. Check back for their Ukrainian Orthodox ceremony!

The Engagement of Lizzie + Ross

For all my wedding couples I offer a complimentary engagement session at the park near my home. I’m often asked if it’s a nice park and yes, I can always find beautiful backdrops and light in the park. I just want to share a portrait session recently taken in the park. Lizzie and Ross will be married later this Summer in Philadelphia! Congratulations you two! I hope they bring their dog Copper to the wedding. He was such a dashing gentleman!
