Morris House Hotel Wedding of Karena + Steve

Karena and Steve have a big destination wedding celebration planned for next year but they just did not want to wait to say I do! This sweet little wedding celebration was held at one of my favorite historic venues in Philadelphia, the Morris House Hotel! Beautiful Blooms was on hand to provide all the beautiful flowers and decor. After the ceremony we walked around the corner to Washington Square Park for some romantic couple pictures!

On Safari in New Jersey!!!!

Last summer my yearly adventure was in Germany and we didn’t see any animals in Bavaria! Whenever I travel with travel photographers they are always showing off their African safari photos and hopefully someday I’ll get some of my own. In the meantime Zac and I took a trip to Great Adventure animal safari park in Jackson, NJ and I was able to get some “safari” images of my own. I was also able to get German deer and bear which I never say when we were in Germany! This summer we will be traveling to Scandinavia and Russia. I hope to at least see a reindeer or mouse!

PDN 2012 Top Knots Winning Image

It’s been a long time since I’ve entered a photography competition. It’s something I did a lot when I was an emerging wedding photographer. I was the type that learned from photo competitions, mostly from my losses rather than my wins. But with shoe boxes full of blue ribbons and a Master of Photography from PPA I haven’t been competing much. I was so excited last year reintroducing film to my work that I wanted to see how it would do in competition. I am so happy to announce that I have a winning image with PDN’s Top Knots 2012. PDN (Photo District News) is the magazine for commercial and professional photographers. What an honor! I want to that Kathy Warden of Table Art for providing me with the beautiful Peony Place Cards to photograph!
