A Pretty Pink Christmas Cocktail Party

Happy Holidays one and all! Whether it be Chanuka, Kwanzaa or Christmas, there are a lot of beautiful holiday celebrations going on this time of year. A friend of mine, Donna O’Brien, owner of Beautiful Blooms, hosted the most beautiful cocktail party recently and I though I’d share some of the inspirations with you all. Her front door was just so welcoming in shades of silver and pink. I particularly loved the lit stars hang from the tree in front of her home.  A collector of milk-glass, Donna filled her collection with pink glowers and evergreens! Ber beloved Bernese Mountain Dog, TJ just recently passed so she had treats and toys for pet loved in his honor.  Two Paper Dolls did all the beautiful stationary. The delish food was catered by Starr Events (check out the El Vez guacamole!) The perfect pink sweets were from the Whipped Bakeshop, which makes the best butter cream frosting in the World! Yumm! I must admit I ate a few.  Well, happy holidays one and all. I’m off to celebrate this season with my family!

Stotesbury Mansion Wedding Reception of Katie + Breen – 10.15.11

This was my first time photographing a wedding reception at Stotesbury Mansion in the Rittenhouse Square district of Philadelphia. It was a beautiful restored 3 story townhouse and guests were gathered on every floor. There was even a playroom for the children on the top floor. Breen had really wanted a night time portrait at Philadelphia’s City Hall so we quickly let the reception for a quick shot. One the way back we took a portrait of Katie and Breen in the beautiful entrance facade of Stotesbury Mansion.

Philadelphia Wedding Portraits of Katie + Breen – 10.15.11

After this fun and romantic pair wed they allowed for a lot of time to go all around the city of Philadelphia for portraits. There were so many wonderful a unique images I did not know how to choose.  When we were at the Second Bank of The United States the freshman call of West Point were just exiting the museum. They respectfully requested a portrait with Katie! What fun! We also went to the Reading Terminal Market as Breen had a hankering for some famous Bassett’s Ice Cream.  We then went on to Rittenhouse Square, where you know I just can’t p[ass up those red doors! Check back for their reception at Stotesbury Mansion
