I knew Jill and Peters reception was going to be very grand. Last year her sister held her reception at the Union League and it was amazing. I expected nothing less from Jill. With the help of florist Nancy Saam and event planner Lynda Barness the ballroom was aglow with warm autumn hues. There was a stunning ice sculpture of a plane for Pilot Peter. It was Peters birthday so he also had an airplane birthday cake to cut. Happy Birthday! The Philadelphia wedding would not be complete without a visit from the Mummers Jills twin reminded us to “Walk like an Egyptian” and they even got Peter to sing along.

Peter is an officer in the US Navy. For the ceremony he wore his Navy “whites”. Their ceremony was held at the very historic Old Saint Josephs Church in Philadelphia. Following the ceremony there was a Arch of Swords Ceremony to ensure the couple’s safe transition into their new life together.
Jill + Peter 09.19.09 Part 1
Well, you know my heart went all aflutter when I arrived to see these picture perfect Christian Louboutin shoes! They were just so lush! And if that were not enough to satisfy my shoe passion all the bridesmaids wore these adorable orange satin pumps by Glint! Last year I photographed Jills sisters wedding so it was so nice to see the whole family again. I have done quite a few “sister” weddings in my day, but this was a first for me…. Both sisters had their reception at the same location, the Union League of Philadelphia. Jill wore a very sleek gown by Priscilla of Boston. Up to the last minute she was undecided about wearing her mother mantilla veil. She did want a picture with the veil but decided to not to wear it for the day. I’ll be sharing more of their beautiful details throughout the week!
